Riding Lessons

Enjoy group lessons, one on ones, and more. Our students have fun while they learn. Tailored lessons at a time that works for you.

The

lesson program

Ever wanted to learn to ride? Looking to increase your riding level? Want your child to learn to ride?

Well, you Can!

At Faith Family Farm we love to help new and experienced riders learn to ride for the first time, or increase their riding skills and showmanship.

We currently have horses for all levels of riding, including: beginners, intermediate riders, and advanced riders.

Age Requirements

At our facility, everyone can experience the joy of horseback riding! Kids 8 and under must do indoor lessons – perfect for those blustery days. No matter your age, come ride with us!

Cancellation & Weather Policy

Cancellations:
We understand that life can be unpredictable, so we offer a 24-hour notice policy for weekly lessons. However, if you need to miss or cancel more than one appointment in short order, you may lose your standing lesson time. To avoid being charged for the missed session and maintain consistency with our program policies – please try giving us at least 1 week’s warning before skipping any prearranged class!

Weather Policy:
Our students’ safety is our top priority, so even if the bad weather prevents us from normal riding lessons in the indoor arenas, we use it as an opportunity for them to learn about other topics that support their growth and development. Such activities include horse care and maintenance, farm chores like grooming or wound cleaning tutorials on how to tackle challenging terrain with our ride simulator program or gain a comprehensive groundwork lesson!

Winter Storms / Bad Road Conditions:
We understand that the weather can be unpredictable and hazardous road conditions may arise. That’s why if local schools are canceled due to such, you won’t be charged for cancelling your lesson at less than a 24-hour notice. If there is ever an instance where inclement weather makes it unsafe to drive even during school breaks or weekends, please contact us right away – we don’t want any of our students on the roads until they’re safe! Of course if you just simply forget about a scheduled lesson without letting anyone know in advanced, then cancellation fees will apply.

Additional Information

No prior horse experience is required.

Riders must have full mobility.

We have a weight limit of 220 lbs if you are over 6′ tall and 190lbs if you are under 6′ tall.

Our lessons average 45-60 minutes and we schedule on the hour. The first 5-10 minutes is used for grooming and tacking, then a 40-50 minute lesson followed by 5 minutes of untacking and grooming at the end of the riding lesson.

We require long pants (jeans, leggings, or pants) and preferably boots but old tennis shoes are ok. Dress for being outdoors.

Riders under 18 must wear a helmet. They can bring one from home or we have riding helmets they can borrow.

We do NOT hand feed any of our horses. If you would like to bring them treats or pick grass it must go in the horse’s bucket.

For safety reasons, we ask that you do NOT pet or go up to any horses unless it is a horse we have gotten out for you for a lesson.

Waivers can be printed below or you can fill it out upon arrival.
