Farm Experience classes for preschoolers!
Class size is limited!!!
- Description: 6 FARM EXPERIENCE classes
- Dates: Mondays. (March 18th – April 22th)
- Times: 10am – 11am
- Class size: 6-8 students
- Cost: $150
Animal care, farm chores, exploration, creation, and play are a part of each class. We want to make outdoor experiences and exploration possible for the next generation. (Even in winter!!) We have several areas for the kids to run both outside and in a covered space. We have animals that are patient and willing to allow little hands to touch and feel. And professional teachers who are trained in education and have a heart for sharing their passion with others!
Hands on experiences! Room to run! Creative exploration encouraged! Please dress in WARM clothes that are ok to get dirty and possibly ruined. (Isle of main barn is heated to 45°C.)
Farm Class Itinerary:
- welcome, sensory play
- meet the cows
- meet the chickens
- farm hike
- meet the sheep (including newborn babies!!)
- brush the horses
- arena time play (tractor toys, run the trotting pole maze, play with the kittens, etc)
*all times are subject to adapted to interest level and student enjoyment. We will take longer in areas that the kids are more excited about and less time when excitement wanes.
*Students at this stage need repetition and exploration for a solid learning experience. Weekly classes will look very similar with information added weekly.
Meet our teacher!
Michelle graduated from MSU with a degree in: Agriscience, Agribusiness, Horse farm management, and an Elementary Teacher certification. She also holds a Masters degree
In education. She taught in the public school system for several years before deciding to stay at home to raise and school her own four children. With two children in high school and the other two close behind, she has years of experience and tons of passion to share!
